Happy New Year!

The 2023 registration year started on July 1, 2022. US Soccer’s registration year aligns with the international soccer calendar, which is designed around the normal dates for the World Cup competition. Referee registration is on this same cycle to keep all registration activities within US Soccer in alignment (players, coaches, teams, etc).

Referees who are currently registered for the 2022 year are certified through December 31, 2022. Any referee wanting to work games past this date must recertify for 2023. Since the new year began July 1, recertification courses are now officially “open.” However, it usually takes a couple weeks before courses are launched for referees, as content for 2023 must be updated. US Soccer does not release this content until July 1, and then it takes time to incorporate it into the online platforms, which for Arizona, is OMS.

Wait for an announcement later this month to register and begin your 2023 recertification process.
