Phoenix, AZ- The ASRA is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of William “Billy” Tobias Tekulve.
A Man Full of Love.
William “Billy” Tobias Tekulve was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. At the age of 43, Billy lost his battle with brain cancer on July 22, 2025 at his Peoria, Arizona home with family by his side.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 29, 1982, Billy graduated from Cactus High School in 2001. He dabbled in many jobs until he found his love as a business banker in 2009. For the last 16 years he was respected and dedicated to helping his clients achieve their goals. He married the love of his life, Sarah, in September 2014 after meeting at a soccer tournament as referees just two years prior. Billy loved golfing, hunting, watching Arizona sports, and soccer officiating. He cherished his time building Legos and playing with his two young children.
Billy is survived by his wife, Sarah, their two children, Leonardo and Rylen, his parents Tim and Deanie, and his two brothers James Michael (Amy) and Bryant (Kim).
Billy, William, Will, Dolla, Buncle, while he may have had many names he will be remembered for his unwavering love and support for his family. He was funny, quick witted, generous, and the most compassionate man. He was the guy that would call you up for no other reason than to just say hi, tell a quick joke, or ask a silly hypothetical question. His jokes, laughter, and kind heart were gifts to everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help the next generation of youth soccer officials be sent in Billy’s honor to:
